Hi, TurboCoupe88. If you have been working out, some of your fat may have switched over to muscle, which is heavier – at the beginning stages of a lifestyle program, sometimes the scale doesn’t move, even if you are feeling and even looking better. As for portions, you can cut back if you wish – about 1/8-1/4 from all portions except fruits and vegetables.

well here it is almost done with week 2 and I feel good but I stepped on the scale and it seems I have gained 5 lbs?
I also have never eaten this much food
I don’t understand how I could lose 3 lbs and yet gain 5?
is it possible that the portion size is too big?

Hi, TurboCoupe88, and welcome. Congratulations on being off to a great start! The average weight loss per week here is about a pound, which is a nice slow rate. Gradual weight loss tends to support long-term maintenance.
