I am only into the program one week and I had the same issue starting out. What I did was go back and UNcheck some of the foods that I had chosen that I like (i.e. lobster); who can have 1 oz. of lobster for lunch, and no more for the rest of the week, wasteful right? What also helped more is…after the menu planner for the week pops up, go through it and click on some of the items and replace them with a choice from the list that comes up. That helped me the most so I didn’t have 5 different kind of meats, for example. When I replaced some of the foods it changed it to only 2 or 3 meats for the week. Hope this helps.

I think the menus are so complicated! I am looking for an easy way to create a menu that has the same food during the week to make it simpler! Any suggestions?

Thanks to Debbie for saving me tonight. I found my weekly menu under Menu History…I didn’t know to click on ‘View’ but it’s there…whew!

.We’d love for you to join us in Successful Beginnings and Support! This group has some of the most wonderful ,kind people and many so willing to help… I hope you like to encourage because that is really the basis of this group.. I believe that if you encourage others then somehow you become more encouraged yourself to do the things you are encouraging others to do
I really believe one thing that helps more than anything is to read the comments every day… You will learn so much about how this plan works by the questions that are submitted and the answer! Blessings.

I stumbled across the entire Trim Down Club Program and downloaded it today. I do not see (now, after the fact) where I found it, in order to go back & review, but this is exactly what I needed to fill in all the answers to my questions. I suggest this be added to the Home Page or the Apps page. I do find it in My Downloads now, not sure if it was there all along or only after I downloaded it. Sorry if I sound like a ditz, but the website was a little difficult to follow without all this pertinent info.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I had emailed to the ‘Contact Us’ link and did get a reply from the Tech Support, who suggested I go to the Community forums. I was not aware that TC staff would be responding to our posts here, so that is great to learn. I will review my meal plan and get back with questions. I had not thought about everything being unprocessed and therefore bulkier & more filling, and I know you are right about that. One example is that I had cut out processed breads altogether and rarely eat them at all. I was surprised to see alot of bread on the menu, even though 100% whole grain, it is still more than I would normally eat. Now that I have gone through the meal planner and learned that I can click on the food to see replacement suggestions, I will do that. Another question, after signing up and selecting my foods, I was called out of town and did not get to complete Week 1. Now, when I log back in the program congratulates me on completing Week 1 and wants me to move on to Week 2. Is there a way to reset that? I have just been clicking on the X to close that box. Thanks.

Hi, tbrown62, and welcome! Where did you write to our staff and did not receive a response? I do apologize for that, and am happy to help you.
Yes, this program does offer a lot of food, as it is intended to support your nutritional needs long-term for positive changes that are lifelong (so that your weight loss will be, too). Keep in mind that since the recommended foods here are whole and unprocessed, they take up a lot more volume than processed foods, and so it looks like you are eating a lot more than you actually are. If you wish, you can post a sample day from your menu here (just copy and paste), along with commentary regarding what looks like too much to you, and we can troubleshoot together to make sure you are not cutting back too much and risking nutrient deficiencies and rebound weight gain.

After reading through some of the posts here in the Community, I see that some of the Trim Down Club staff responds here? I had no idea that’s how they communicated with us. I welcome any help from anyone! Thanks.

Hello, I am brand new to the program and have completed my Meal Planner, but have not started yet. I am surprised at the amount of food the plan shows for me as I don’t normally eat this much. I do normally eat 5-6 small meals/snacks per day so I am ok with the frequency. I have written to the Trim Down Club asking this question but no one responds. I am thinking they do not have dietitians on staff (??). Does anyone know how to contact them directly?
