![]() | Hi Julie1955, thankyou so much for thinking of me, it’s always helpful to know that there is someone else in the same predicament as yourself. It has been difficult, at times as I am not used to measuring in cup sizes, here in England we only measure in ozs or grams. I have been a diet yo yo dieter for more years that I care to remember. I will keep at it though, because I know what I have read is right, all I need is the determination. Hope you are doing well, and your idea of targeting yourself in small steps, is a great idea. Take care Jacqui x |
![]() | I was thinking about you and hoping it was going better, I too have days when I think I cannot do this but we can, the benefit out weighs the other side. I have found I need to take baby steps and not put such big number out there. I wanted to lose 50 pounds and that sound so unattainable so I have decided 5 pounds at a time and if I back slide I am not going to beat myself up. I am going to pick my extra large hinny up and keep on going. if you want a friend I am here no matter where you live. have an awesome day! you can do this, we can do this, hand in hand my friend |
![]() | Mermai, you said Debbie , I hope you can.. Can what???If it’s help… yes I can… Come to the group Successful Beginnings and Support. I would give anything if someone had helped me many years ago !!:P |
![]() | Thankyou Julie1955, I will try this |
![]() | I am new to this, but I have found when I am really hungry and I have eaten what is on my diet plan, there is something going on with me, so I journal my thoughts and what I am feeling at the time of getting these cravings. believe it or not it helps me to deal with my demons and gives me insight to what is going on when I am having those demons attack me. |
![]() | I’m no expert but I can say that adding foods to your diet that are odd are hard at first. I thought the same thing. After I tried some WEIRD food I found that I liked it. Then I had more to choose from then just vegetables and fruit and MULCH…lol. It really is worth sticking with. Our health is worth it!! |
![]() | Please deborahjjhayes, I really hope you can, I have read, and listened to all material. I am struggling, because I feel so low, I am fine in the morning, but after lunch, the eating demon takes over, I know I shouldn’t, go over board but I do. I am usually enthusiastic about excercise 3 x 60 mins per week, and also dog walking 2 x 30 min per day, but this is a chore. I get so annoyed with myself, because it know what I am doing. I have fairly high cholesterol, and I am on the cusp of diabetes, I think finding this out has depressed me, and I know I have to reduce it. I really don’t like the 21 day plan, but I could manage the menu planner, with the right frame of mind and back up. Thankyou Deborahjjhayes . |
![]() | Join us in Successful Beginnings and Support… we break it down into a very manageable plan. I can help you I promise! |
![]() | Hi, Mermaid. I suggest you go into the Menu Planner application (in “Apps” above), and make selections more suitable to your tastes. There you can also ensure measurements are metric. See the instructional video on how to use it, if you wish. |
![]() | I am 2 weeks into diet, I am struggling. I find the combinations, a bit out of my comfort zone ie, brown rice with Brussels Sprouts? Also a lot of the measurements and foods are American, and I don’t know the substitute here in the UK. I recieved e mails, regarding Bio Trust Nutrition, is this once again something to temp us when feeling low. I have not seen any reviews, which show this is of benefit, also it is very expensive. You do give lots of information, but when it comes to diet, I am struggling. |
