![]() | Hi, Spongy, and thanks Sebrina. It would be recommended to drink smaller amounts of carbonated beverages if you have a sensitive stomach. I mentioned in a response to one of your other posts that diet soda in general may work against your goals here. |
![]() | Sebrinabrown, Thank You for your reply. I did drink the soda with my meal. You could be correct. I am not used to eating very much. I was trying to eat what I thought would be enough to keep me full and without adding additional calories. I started the program 2 weeks ago. Since I began, I am eating more as well as a variety of food. I have gained 3 lbs. According to the nutritionist and other community members, this is normal and eventually, I will reach my goal. I do hope that I can reach my goal. I am not giving up. Thank You again. |
![]() | I have only been here for a week. I don’t know how long you have been following this eating plan. It sounds to me like you consumed a large amount of food. Not knowing what you’ve eaten all day this appears to be a lot of food. The salads would fill up your stomach and the fiber would be slow digesting. Perhaps the combination of the red vinegar and the coke make your tummy want to say whoa there 🙂 Adding the 6 inch sub, even with some of the bread taken out would be quite a bit to put in after the salads. Did you drink your soda with a meal? I wonder if the combination of the carbonation, vinegar and bread got together and began a fermentation in your stomach? Sometimes soda will just make the bread expand and will make you feel like you wish to vomit. I’m a gastric bypass patient so I have been 10 years without a real stomach but remembering back when I over ate I remember situation. Good luck! |
![]() | Hello, Ossie-Sharon and community. Last evening as an “free food”, I ate two side salads which included: lettuce, spinach, pickles, cucumbers, mushrooms, salt, black pepper and red vinegar. Later for dinner, I had a six inch sub from subway. It included: wheat bread(with some of the inside removed), 1/2 a slice of provolone cheese, 2 slices of cold cut turkey, veggies, black pepper and red vinegar. 1 apple. 1 16 oz diet coke. I was extremely full and felt as if I wanted to vomit. I felt terrible all night, as well as this morning. My tummy aches, I am extremely nauseous and I have not been able to eat nor drink anything for breakfast. Has this happened to any one. Is this normal? Thanks for your comments. |
