Hi, AnnePenny. Sure – just note that those alternatives do contain some sugar and so add up. If you have more than a couple of teaspoons per day, please do repost, and I’ll work with you on adding them to your day without giving up on results.

I’ve found I am allergic to Stevia. Can I substitute honey or blackstrap molasses?

xylitol counts as carbs, so be careful. Stevia and monkfruit are the only two acceptable substitutions without having to count it something!

I think the 12 Tbsp of spice has got to be a misprint!!! The 1 1/2 cupsa cups of Stevia could be correct if using the powdery white Stevia.

The recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of inulin or xylitol (same sweetness as sugar)
OR
1/4 cup Stevia (Since its VERY sweet).
It sounds like a pretty big batch of muffins so the 12tsp of pumpkin spice may be correct (Although it sounds like a lot)

I wanted to make the Pumpkin No-Fat Muffins but 12 tsps. pumpkin pie spice and 1 1/2 cups of Stevia look like a misprint to me. Do you really add that much spice and Stevia for flavor? I want it to taste good and I wanted to make different muffins for my menu.
