![]() | Hi, Turtlehurder. 45% is less desirable because it means there is more sugar – if you like it better than the 70%, go ahead and indulge in a little now and then, i.e. an ounce or two a day, especially if you “budget” for it. As for how much you “should” eat 70% cocoa, you can get the same benefit by adding pure cocoa powder to your milk with a non-sugar sweetener, or adding it to your cereal (if you eat it). In any event, if you use the Menu Planner to build your menus, you can select 70% chocolate or cocoa in the food lists, and the menus prepared for you will automatically place them. |
![]() | Thanks Ossie. Question about dark chocolate, I read that 70% cocoa is a good choice. At 70% cocoa, how much and how often should I eat it? I found a hershey’s special dark chocolate that is delicious but it is only 45% cocoa. Would you advise me to stay away from that? |
![]() | Hi, turtlehurder. Fresh-squeezed juice can substitute for one or two of your daily servings of vegetables, but vegetable fiber is still important. |
![]() | Thanks, you did say it was a sufficient supplement for veggies? Couple of other questions. |
![]() | Hi, turtlehurder. Not that I know of, sorry. The best alternative is to juice your own vegetables. |
![]() | Hey Ossie, is there any v-8 juice that doesnt say “concentrated with added ingredients”? |
