Hi, Bjanbeau. It does have quite a bit of carbohydrates without any protein to slow it down. The overall amount may also be too high, especially given what else you may have been eating. You can fit such a shake into a breakfast or snack, but each 8 fluid ounces (240 ml) should take the place of a piece of fruit and slice of bread, if not more, and should be accompanied by a good source of protein such as whole nuts, seeds, egg, dairy, etc.

During the past year I have been drinking a smoothie with strawberries, bananas, oats and natural almond breeze milk every day. I realized that I have been gaining weight. Can this type of smoothie be a contributing factor to my weight gain?
