Hi, Catrina. It’s great that you are aware of your hunger and satiety signals. If you are cutting back on portions, be sure to get at least 5 total servings of fruits+vegetables and at least 3 servings of high calcium foods each day. Also be careful not to let yourself get too hungry and risk later binges or a restrictive effect that could result in rebound weight gain.

I do not want a full tummy. What I am saying is the food suggested in the menu is too much for me to eat, I can cut it in half and be satisfied. I’ve started to cut portion sizes and feel better. Thanks.

Hi Catrina14,

I find that re-training the mind helps. For too long, I believed that I should have a full tummy when I’ve had a meal, but by the time my tummy was full, I always felt uncomfortable! Now I tell myself that what I have eaten should suffice. It takes time, but habits can be broken. Also, have you tried drinking a large glass of water before your meal? Drinking plenty helps you to feel full.

It has been 3 days of eating on the plan. Have put on 2 lbs. Going in the wrong direction! I can reduce food quantity half and still be full! Any suggestions?
