Why am I only losing 2 ounces a week?

![]() | Hi, Deirdre1. You are indeed already eating very little now, and given your diet history, it looks like your metabolism has slowed greatly. The best way to approach this is through physical activity. I assume you are been followed by a healthcare professional, and I would suggest requesting a referral to a physical therapist, given the risks to other areas of your health. I don’t know what your medical coverage is like, but I would also suggest to consider alternative therapy, such as acupuncture, acupressure, and/or special massage therapies, which may help with some mobility. Additionally, eating certain spices, such as cinnamon and curry with black pepper, as well as using olive oil as your main oil, making sure you get clean fish oils (even from algae sources), and avoiding sugar, corn syrup, and agave can help keep your metabolism from further deteriorating. |

![]() | Hi, Deirdre1. It could be that your energy needs are lower because of your status. I suggest adjusting your profile so that the weight is an intermediate target weight instead of your actual weight, which will bring down the energy level. I would also be happy to help you one-on-one here. I just need a bit more information: |
![]() | I stick to my menu, but recently have stopped eating the rice and lentils. I cannot exercise because I am paralysed with advanced Multiple Sclerosis, I can only move one hand, but that is never still! I live alone, am 71, have a battery chair, am extremely busy with voluntary work, but it is all brainwork. I can’t stay this weight, it is not fair on my morning and evening carers who have to man-handle me. What am I doing wrong? |
