Thank you very much!

Hi, KarenBerres. I’m happy to help.
The good news for fatty liver is that the diet is built into the basic principles here. Select the foods with the lighter blue text, and you’ll be on your way.

Thank you for your suggestions and help with the hemochromatosis. Can you also help with Fatty Liver diet/meal planning?

Hi, KarenBerres. The Menu Planner application lets you choose which foods you have in your menu, and which you avoid. It is recommended that you avoid red meat and pork, and go easy on chicken. It is also recommended to avoid alcohol and raw shellfish.
In addition, the following fruits and vegetables are high in iron, and so you may wish to avoid them:
Beets
Grapes
Dark green leafy vegetables (i.e. spinach)
In addition, since it is impossible to avoid all iron in foods, eating dairy with foods can help lower absorption, and avoiding vitamin C-rich foods with them (such as citrus, strawberries) can help in the same way.

This is an iron over-load disease whereby the body manufactures and stores too much iron. Do you have a diet plan for this condition?
