Sorry, Tweety (I noticed you’ve gone back to Tweety!). I just saw your post as well. You are so right. We have plenty to snack on and I’ve read the water fact as well. Excellent advice!

Georgia, you are so right! It is the way the plan is set up! It is the combination of the foods … and the certain amount that is the key! No, don’t force yourself to eat when you are full, but DO eat all 6 times. Something of EACH food recommended. As you have said, it will show up on the scales! Way to go, Georgia!! 🙂

Hi Blessingcatcher – you are so right in that you must eat all, or most of the menu for the day. I have noticed that when I get busy and miss a snack or have to cut my lunch hour short and miss something – when I get on the scales they haven’t moved. When I eat 90-100% of my menu, I find I lose faster – must be the metabolism working to digest (at least that’s what I think it is). Thanks for reinforcing this – I have to keep reminding myself to eat all my food unless I feel full. Reminders are always good.
tks, Georgia

Hi, Dovy. Synthetic appetite suppression really works against the TDC program because they are trying to get our bodies healthy … with the exercise and the whole and live foods and the mental attitude. ANd, EVERYTHING that is synthetic has side-effects.
One of the things I love best about the TDC is that I am always full … satisfied, I guess I would say. If you eat all you are supposed to, and work in the things that you have and that you want, in prescribed portions, and get a splurge meal once a week, you really find that you are not craving things like you do on other diets. And, you don’t feel deprived. Are you eating all your snacks and the prescribed portions?

if you feel like eating, why not go ahead & eat? There are plenty of free food items you can have avail, such as celery sticks cucumber slices, cauliflower bits. Drink water when you feel like snacking too. I read an article saying most people believe they are hungry when really they are thirsty.

Sometimes I feel that in one’s hectic life, appetite suppression is the main key simply because a person cannot always maintained willpower and organizational discipline in terms of food preparation and planning. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks Montgom. Are you familiar with the new appetite suppressant called Qsymia? In any event, do you think the Roca labs system would have a negative impact on the TDC method?

Hi Dovy – I too, have tried quick starts with just about every diet on the books. Almost all of them are restrictive in one way or another and after a few weeks it gets tedious and I end up cheating then dropping the diet altogether. With Trim Down Club I have found that I can keep with it and lose weight without having to count calories or carbs or food points. As far as bypass – I thought about that as well, but it does affectthe way your body assimilates food and nutrients. In my opinion, TDC is the best way – and it is so easy. I tend to get adventurous and use Romaine as a basis for many of my meals and I have come up with some really delicious salads (hot and cold). I’m not losing fast, but I am losing which is the main objective. I even thought about diet pills, but these work with your thyroid and I already have thyroid problems. Good, old-fashioned healthful eating is what works and TDC does just that – helps me eat wholesome, nutritious meals and I feel better too. Don’t get discouraged – it really works. Good luck.

Hi, Blessingcatcher. Yes, you are correct, about 80 pounds, but in “desperation” and in conjunction with proper eating I wanted a short cut. I thought the Roca Labs systemwould work well with TDC. I have come to believe that appetite suppression is a real key because of the issue of willpower and self discipline which would be sidelined with the Roca idea. Perhaps I need to talk more about the idea of appetite suppression in relation to willpower and TDC. Perhaps I am missing something. I am starting some recipes and the menu planner, but I like the idea of a quickstart effect (not involving surgery of course). Please tell me what you and others think about this.

Hi, Dovy! I am assuming you have a large amount of weight you want to lose. I don’t know how long you have tried the TDC, but it really works! Give it a try and you’ll be surprised at how the weight just melts away! Many people on this site have lost quite a bit already. 😉

Sorry, the spelling is ROCA LABS……..

I have come across the question of appetite suppression in conjunction with good eating choices and my menu plan. But I ran into to the website of Rocca Labs (www.roccalabs.com) that offers what is described as a gastric bypass method WITHOUT surgery to reduce food consumption and appetite. There are even Youtube videos about it. What are people’s thoughts on this?
