| | Hello fmatson after some research it appears that chutney and relishes are about the same. Please jump in Sharon and correct me if I’m wrong. |
| | I have been wondering what Chutney was. I asked in the grocery stores and they couldn’t seem to help me. What stores can I find it in? Need help as there is nothing on my list to exchange it for. |

| | Hi, AnnaH. Absolutely! 1/2 cup would be a fruit serving. |
| | I made some chutney the other day using 1.5lbs cooking apples as the main base, then added 1 large parsnip, 1 medium carrot, 1 small and 1 large onion, 5ozs of raisins and some caulifower. I used cider vinegar because I can’t use malt or any other type of vinegar and I added 3 tsps of the 100% pure green leaf stevia powder and of course various spices. It made 3 big jarfuls I wasn’t too sure about it until this morning because it had quite a kick because of the cider vinegar but it has really mellowed out and the big question is how much can I have in a day? I haven’t had any chutney, tomato sauces, etc for 20 odd years because of the sugar and vinegar in the store bought ones and I can see myself spooning it out the jar lol. If necessary could I swap a portion of fruit out for it? |
