| | Eebutin, In our group Talking, cooking,Nana’s & women and a few men!!! We have many gluten free recipes under each forum topic. would LOVE it if you’d join us and share ! We are such an encouraging group by design!! I’m so excited to find someone who is gluten free and has recipes!!! I wrote a Southern cookbook in May and began this diet 1 month and 1 week ago. I’ve lost 11 lbs. I’m in the process of changing over those family favorites to fit this diet. Looking forward to getting to know you. ttyl. |
| | Hi, eebutin. Just choose a similar recipe in the Menu Planner as a ‘placesaver,’ and swap it out when its mealtime. If you want some help with that, just list the recipes you like, and I’ll list some options. |
| | Hi Sharon, there are so many interesting recipes on Trim Down that I would love to substitute, but when I choose a substitution, they aren’t listed–it’s the “bland” but I suppose simpler options that are listed. Thanks for the info on the ratios. That’s about what I’ve been eating. Paleo as a lifestyle is meant to be 80 % paleo/20% “cheating”. I ate cake at a birthday party as one of my 20 % and regretted it, so I’m very wary of gluten. Gluten free grains/baked goods are fine for my tummy. I’m also concerned about the lack of dairy; though that may be unfounded. |
| | Hi, eebutin. The Menu Planner includes several gluten-free grains, including quinoa, brown rice, millet, and amaranth that you can add to your menu, as well as the SWG bread (though it is not gluten-free). Try to add these in gradually because weight loss through programs such as the paleo diet can often result in rebound weight gain. |
| | Hi Sharon, I took a little hiatus from Trim Down and began eating Paleo. It did work in that I lost the last few pounds of niggling pregnancy weight and have gained muscle mass and energy! I would like to add some gluten free grains and maybe SWG bread, because they do help me feel more satiated. Also, I do find the menu choices a bit limiting, as have others, and look forward to being able to add from your recipes. Loving to bake, and having eaten paleo, I’ve got some good ones myself. Anyway, I found the exchange list, but would like to know the daily ratios for each of the macronutrients (if that’s the proper term)? |
