Hi, jksncsu. The best way to get started is to read the program guide – it has the information there about making good food choices.
Basically, when you go through the Menu Planner, see if you can choose mostly the foods in the lighest blue – those are the best for you. Then, if you entered your stats in your profile, the application will generate a weekly menu for you based on meeting your needs – the pattern is based on nutrition that has been suggested in scientific research to be best for women going through menopause and after. This means, minimal simple carbohydrates, lots of good proteins, moderate amounts of good fats (including extra-virgin olive oil), and plenty of fruits and vegetables.

That seems kinda cryptic! I figured that you guys base the nutrition that best suits the condition…. so, HOW do I pick the correct foods (or how do YOU) pick them? I really want to know how to work with this so I can maximize my weight loss! I haven’t seen anywhere I can specifically SAY this is what I am dealing with when I set up my menu? Thank you in advance!

Hi, jksncsu. It is indeed very common. The principles of this program are based on nutrition that best suits the condition.

I have been slim all my life…til I hit 50! Now, I just look at food and I gain weight. Is there anyone else out there who has this issue? It is very frustrating. I have just started with this site, so I am looking for all kinds of help and advice. Tha k you in advance!
