![]() | Hi, ProudMary. This is a link to an example of what would be a good shake to add http://www.gardenoflife.com/Products-for-Life/Foundational-Nutrition/RAW-Protein.aspx – note the list of ingredients (click on “Supplement Facts” on the right side of the screen) to get an idea of the type of thing we support. |
![]() | Wow this is great, love this site! What protein can we buy to had to the shakes and is legal with this program? |
![]() | Hi, ProudMary. Recipes for shakes that can be good snacks are here https://www.trimdownclub.com/?s=shake&post_type=recipe. You can also use hearty soups, which are like shakes – recipes here https://www.trimdownclub.com/recipe_type/soups/. |
![]() | Hi, FitterGirl. Thanks for the link – I downloaded the following menu: http://www.surmontphase2.ca/files/pdf/Surmont-Menu-June-30-Aug-10.pdf. Is this for dinner? What is available for you to “pack” in your lunch? What do the breakfasts look like? Snacks?. |
![]() | Morning, I’m a Steamfitter-Pipefitter in Alberta. I work 10 hours/day 14 days on then 7 off. My challenge will be how to adjust my eating when I am subject to a camp environment. All meals are provided; hot breakfast/supper & we pack our own lunches. We leave for site by 7:00am first break is at 10:30 then again at 2:00, back to camp by 6:00pm. Luckily we have a great gym & fitness facility including various exercise classes 🙂 They do post the menu at surmontphase2.com if that would be helpful? |
![]() | I’m a health care worker. I do 2 days 2 nights and they are 12 hour shift. The ER is so busy that we have trouble getting to our breaks. I love the suggestion of snacks from danger. Can you suggest a protein drink that I can keep at the desk to sip on all shift. |
![]() | HI Proudmary I don’t know what your job is – but I’m a dog groomer – and found it really difficult to find a bit of time (away from flying hair for a start!) to get away to eat a snack – and exercise is a difficult one as I’m completely knackered at the end of the day – every day. However, if you sort the diet first (find the five minutes – choose snacks that are easily consumed) the energy will come. I’m on my third week now – energy is so much better. I’ll start finding an evening to go to the gym again. Before though, I literally couldn’t get off the couch once I got home – asleep by 8pm. Just force yourself to do it at first. |
![]() | Hi, ProudMary. I would be grateful if you could post more about your work, tasks, and schedule, and we can work through it. For example, do you tend to have back-to-back shifts? Do you work in healthcare, factory, or salesfloor type of job? Where do you live, I understand every job has its stresses and priorities, and every country has its own labor laws regarding break entitlements. |
![]() | How can you get your nutrients and exercise in when you sometimes don’t even have time for a bathroom break? |
