Flavored olive oils and vinegars are great. For the olive oils, the flavors come from natural additives – but do check the ingredients list.

Hi. Was wondering about the flavored olive oils from Oliv places? I love the different flavors along with the olive balsamic vinegars. My favorite is the coconut white balsamic vinegar. I look forward to having salads with these. The Oliv store only sells olive oils and you name the flavor it is there. So tasty. Introduced by my daughter.
Thank you.

Hi, dvande01. There absolutely are alternatives! True, most of them have their own unique tastes, some that take getting used to, like flaxseed, chia, and avocado (which doesn’t really solve your problem), and some with popular tastes, like almond, hazelnut, and macadamia. The oil with the least taste is canola, which we recommend to buy organic to avoid GMO and overprocessing. If all else fails, try the very lightest olive oil you can find – some say it is even suitable for baking sweets.

Hi there,
I definitely understand the importance of olive oil and have tried so hard to include it in my diet. When I use it in cooking it’s no problem but I just cannot handle the taste when I try to make my own salad dressings. The taste of it honestly makes me gag and ruins my entire salad. The only way I have been able to stomach it is by adding sugar which is not an alternative I am comfortable with. So I was wondering if there are any other oils I can use with making salad dressings that still provides the good fats?? Or can you refer me to any recipes??
Any advice you can give is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Deanna
