Is intermittent fasting a bad idea for me if I want to lose weight through meal planning?

Asked a year ago

I've always struggled with my weight, and I've recently learned that I have type 2 diabetes. My doctor has advised me to start a weight loss diet with meal planning. I want to lose weight as quickly as possible and am considering doing intermittent fasting. Is this a bad idea for a diabetic?

There is enough evidence to suggest that intermittent fasting is good for patients with diabetes and can help with weight loss. One study shows that intermittent fasting can lead to diabetes remission. Combining intermittent fasting with a meal plan is likely to yield tremendous results relating to weight loss.
