Is the One and Done exercise program roughly equivalent to HIIT?
Is the One and Done exercise program roughly equivalent to HIIT?

I've been doing HIIT training to increase my cardio pace for a while now. However, the calories I regularly burn have yielded less results. My friend showed me a couple of Meredith Shirk's exercise videos online, which seems like a fun challenge. I'm concerned that the program is similar to what I'm already doing. Is the one-and-done program more effective than HIIT?

Yes, the One-and-Done program is more effective than HIIT. Meredith Shirk's exercise programs utilize a concept known as Sprint Interval Training (SIT). This is similar to HIIT, but it has active rest periods between short bursts of maximum-intensity workouts. This maximizes the calorie burn and boosts your metabolism. In comparison to HIIT, SIT enables your muscles to remain loose and primed for the next round of exertion. This reduces your risk of injury due to stiff muscles.
